The Lip Flip: What It Can and Cannot Do
A few units into orbicularis oris can evert the upper lip — but it is not a substitute for filler.

Effect
Two to four superficial units along the upper vermillion border relax the sphincter, allowing the lip to roll outward and appear fuller.
Limits
Volume is unchanged. Patients wanting genuine augmentation need filler; those wanting a subtle change to a gummy or inverted lip are ideal candidates.
Risks
Over-treatment affects speech, drinking through a straw and whistling. Duration is short — often six to eight weeks.
