Assessment
Rule out secondary causes — thyroid disease, medication, infection and menopause — before treating primary focal hyperhidrosis.
Mapping
Starch-iodine testing defines the active area. Intradermal injections are placed in a grid roughly 1.5cm apart.
Outcome
Dryness begins within a week and typically lasts six to nine months, longer than facial toxin because eccrine glands recover slowly.
