Assess first
Evaluate upper-to-lower ratio, incisor show, philtral length, oral commissure position and existing asymmetry before drawing up product.
Product and plane
A softer, lower G prime HA sits well in the body of the lip; slightly firmer product supports the vermillion border and philtral columns.
Aspirate, inject slowly under low pressure, and stay in the correct plane — the superior and inferior labial arteries run submucosally.
Complication readiness
Every injector treating lips must hold hyaluronidase and know the occlusion protocol by heart before touching a needle.
